Penkin talked about some of the key themes he had composed for Sin Chronicle, such as the Home menu screen music and theme songs for the game’s two heroines—Chloe and Sera. The Made in Abyss composer also explained the differences between writing tracks for games and anime shows. However, he has a similar approach to begin composing themes for both kinds of media.

Toward the end of the video, Penkin shared his experience composing the game’s soundtrack amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The composer revealed that he worked on the main theme of Sin Chronicle with Sega staff members in Japan. The group completed the theme just before countries underwent lockdowns. Since Penkin had to return to Australia, he composed the other tracks remotely while still participating in regular online meetings.
