Kena: Bridge of Spirits Delayed Until September In Order to Polish the Game

Kena Delayed

Ember Lab has announced that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be delayed to September 21, 2021. This marks the second time Ember Lab has delayed the title, following a previous announcement back in September 2020, which cited the ongoing pandemic as a major factor. The indie studio originally planned to release the PlayStation console exclusive action-adventure game on August 24, 2021.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits was showcased at Sony’s State of Play in February, along with an animated trailer that gave fans a glimpse into the game’s world and characters. Players will control Kena, a young Spirit Guide searching for a sacred mountain shrine along with her companion creatures, Rot. As you progress through Kena, you can gather various Rot to unlock to abilities and fight against the corrupted spirits of the forest in fast-paced combat.

Ember Lab stated that they made the difficult decision to delay the game in order to “polish the game” across all platforms. Additionally, the studio assured fans that the team has been working extremely hard, but still feels that the extra time is “critical to ensure the best experience possible.”

Kena: Bridge of Spirits now releases for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation5 and PC via Epic Games Store on September 21, 2021. Owners of the PS4 version of the game can also receive a free PS5 upgrade.
