Eon Altar plays out on PC, but through its free iOS and Android app, players will control the game using their smartphones. Players will input all of their movements and commands into the device, as well as control upgrades from it to keep play seamless for the other players.

Once players have all input their choices, they can choose to have them all move simultaneously, or one at a time in a specific order, in the game’s turn-based combat. Each action will be different, as the game offers five varied characters to choose to play as.

The actions will also vary because any of the four players may receive secret information about the game on their device. A secret door, a monster’s growl, or other useful pieces of information may only get relayed to one player, and it will be up to them to decide whether to share it with the group or not.
