From time to time, Tekken 7 Director Katsuhiro Harada will share details about the game and its characters via Twitter. Most recently, he offered insight into how popular certain characters were in January 2021. To be specific, he went over the Tekken 7 offline and online usage for King, Kunimitsu, and Emilie “Lili” de Rochefort.
Of the three Tekken 7 characters, King was the most popular. Harada pointed out he was the second most used character offline and fourth most used one online globally. He also said, “Law and King have been competing for the top usage since Tekken 6.” (While Armor King appeared as DLC, King II is a part of the main roster.)
When it comes to Kunimitsu, she’s more popular online than off. Harada noted she was the ninth most-used person in January 2021 online, but fell to 38th place offline. Kunimitsu joined the Tekken 7 cast as a DLC character in November 2020.
When it comes to Lili, her usage stats were a bit weird. Harada mentioned Lili was in 22nd place in Tekken 7 both offline and online. Like King, she appeared as part of the game’s base roster.
As for new developments, a new character is heading to Tekken 7 in Spring 2021. While there aren’t many details about her yet, she will be Poland’s Prime Minister.
Tekken 7 is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
