Jump Into Spring With The Steam Game Festival

Geoff Keighley announced the second Steam Game Festival will be returning to Steam for a Spring Edition on March 18, 2020. It isn’t available just yet, but over 40 game demos will temporarily be available. Each one is a game that might have been featured there.

The Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition is being held, in part, to help counter the blow of GDC 2020’s postponement. While there will be streamed sessions for some developers, its delay was a big blow for many smaller and indie studios. That’s where the Steam Game Festival Spring Edition will help; it’ll showcase a lot of upcoming games who missed out on their chance to shine.

This is not the first festival. The last Steam Game Festival happened on December 12, 2019. The original festival featured games like Chicory from Greg Lobanov and System Shock from Nightdive Studios,. In addition, the inaugural event featured over 12 PC game demos that were available over the 48 hour event.

Now, the event will last longer than just two days. Actually, it’ll run for six days and include demos for titles. Please note that these demos will go away once the event ends.

There will be more editions of the festival during 2020, though future dates haven’t been announced yet.

The Steam Game Festival: Spring Edition will begin on March 18, 2020 at 10am PT/1pm ET and will continue until March 23, 2020. It also now has its own official Twitter account
