Nero’s trailer features lots of shout-outs to his battle against Doppio. Not only are his voice-lines all from that fight, but he also uses familiar tricks such as camouflaging himself with Metallica. His Stand, Metallica, can manipulate iron, including the iron inside a person’s blood. Risotto Nero originated from Part 5, Vento Aureo, as a major antagonist. He is the leader of La Squadra Esecuzioni, and targeted Trish in an attempt to discover the Passione boss’s true identity.

If you have a Season Pass, you can get Risotto Nero on October 26, 2022. Other players can get him from October 28. There will be three more DLC characters after Nero, though Bandai Namco has not announced them yet. They will all come out before December 31, 2023, though.

The full list of updates is available on Bandai Namco’s webpage for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R. Some of the universal changes include a standardized dodge activation time, as well as reducing how much damage a downed opponent takes. Bandai Namco also altered the moves of a large portion of characters. For example, Dio Brando’s “And punch straight through!” attack now has a longer hitbox, while Kosaku Kawajiri has less health.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is available on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
