A new trailer for Jingliu has been released on the official Honkai: Star Rail YouTube channel. The fierce swordsman is a new 5-star Ice Destruction character that will debut as a playable unit in Version 1.4, which will go live on October 11, 2023. You can watch the trailer in all four languages (English, Korean, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese) that the game is playable in.

Like most previous trailers for Honkai: Star Rail characters, the announcement video mostly focuses on showing off how Jingliu will look in battle. There are also some tidbits of her story and lore. In both the trailer and the description, Jingliu states that she will “cleave the star from the sky” the next time she meets someone. This could be a reference to the Aeons or to Blade. We’ve gotten plenty of information on Jingliu’s character and history already through Jing Yuan’s animated trailer, Yanqing’s Companion Mission, the Version 1.3 story, and Jingliu’s animated trailer.

Jingilu’s banner, “Gentle Eclipse of the Moon,” will also feature Tingyun, Qingque, and Sampo as 4-star characters. Previously, HoYoVerse shared that Jingliu will work similarly to fellow Destruction character Blade, as she has a stance system and loses HP in battle. In Jingliu’s case, she will consume health from her allies. She can also increase her ATK based on how much HP she takes from them.

Honkai: Star Rail is available on mobile devices and PC. The PS5 version will come out on October 11, 2023, which is also when Version 1.4 and Jingliu will debut.
