Jett Rocket II Will Run At 60fps In 3D; Here Are The First Screenshots

Shin’en Multimedia are known for their technical expertise among their fans, and it’s something the studio is rather proud of, often choosing to do more in areas that other developers would do less. This isn’t limited just to the visual quality of their games but also how well they run.

For example, in the case of FAST – Racing League, a futuristic WiiWare racer released in 2011, Shin’en aimed to have the game running at 60 frames-per-second in single-player mode (multiplayer ran at 30fps). In the case of Jett Rocket, a WiiWare platformer from 2010, the studio put an immense amount of effort into lighting and shadows—a rarity on the Wii, let alone WiiWare—and still managed to get the game running at 60fps.

This trend looks to be continuing with Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai, Shin’en’s next game, which is headed to the Nintendo 3DS eShop. Shin’en have announced that Jett Rocket II will run at 60fps with stereoscopic 3D turned on, and shared a few screenshots to go along with the announcement.
