Japanese Train Commuters Can Check Their Psycho-Pass Profiles Using Kinect V2

Recommended Videos

Japan’s Fuji TV has been promoting the upcoming Psycho Pass movie in an interesting way. The TV station has set up an area at Shinjuku Station where commuters can check their Psycho-Pass profile. (Thanks, Japan Today)

The display uses Microsoft’s Kinect V2 in tandem with sixteen 60-inch screens, motion sensors and high-definition cameras. When you walk up to the contraption, it will display your Psycho-Pass profile along with your face as the ID picture. The display will also tell you your mental-state colour and crime coefficient.

Should your reading be over 100, one of the Inspector or Enforcer characters will appear on the screen carrying their Dominator gun, which is used to subdue suspects. The promotional space will remain up until January 11th.

The Psycho Pass movie will be released on January 9th.
