It seems a new Dino Crisis development is on the horizon. The Japanese Chizai-Watch website has shared a new published trademark Capcom filed for Dino Crisis. It was filed back on November 29, 2019, and it was published on December 17, 2019.

This Dino Crisis trademark doesn’t guarantee any sort of game in the series could appear. However, the trademark filed does apply to game software and programs. It could be an instance of Capcom securing its hold on its IP or preparing for products related to the series. Or it could be preparing to pave the way for a new game.

This is the second relatively recent Dino Crisis trademark from Capcom. Back on February 5, 2018, it filed for a Japan Patent Office trademark. That was granted on December 28, 2018. Prior to that, the last Japanese trademark for Dino Crisis was issued on March 31, 2000.

This marks two major trademark appearances in one day. Earlier, Square Enix filed one for NieR.
