It may not sound like it, but Jamestown: Legend of the Lost Colony, developed by Final Form Games, is a top-down shoot-em-up…a shoot-em-up set on 17th-century British Colonial Mars. Final Form have included support for up to four players.

Aside from four-player co-op, Final Form also hope to tell an interesting story through Jamestown. The game is in development for PC and is due out this summer, but Final Form say that a release on other platforms will follow.

You can read more about the game at its development blog. Jamestown was recently recognized by the Independent Game Festival for the Audio category. You can listen to some of the game’s music at this link.

A high-five to Denpa no Sekai for pointing us in the direction of the game!
