Playtonic announced that it worked with music publisher Materia Collective to release digital versions of Yooka-Laylee and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair‘s soundtracks.

Yooka-Laylee‘s soundtrack has music composed by Rare veterans Grant Kirkhope and David Wise. Yooka-Laylee and The Impossible Lair also features music composed by Playtonic’s in-house composers, Dan Murdock and Matt Griffin. The original game’s soundtrack is $8.99, while the sequel is $9.99. The albums can be found via sources like Amazon, Bandcamp, Spotify, iTunes, deezer, and Tidal.
The first Yooka-Laylee made waves back in 2015 when it was unveiled as a brand-new Kickstarter project by Playtonic. It is a 3D platforming collect-a-thon in the same vein as Banjo-Kazooie. The game released in 2017 to mixed reviews, but did enough to get a sequel called Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, which is a 2D platformer. In The Impossible Lair, Yooka and Laylee must rescue and enlist the help of the Beetalion in order to traverse Capital B’s eponymous Impossible Lair. Capital B is seeking his revenge upon the dynamic duo after the events of the first game.
Yooka-Laylee and Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair are available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A demo is available for the latter game.
