It Really Doesn’t Take too Long to Level Up in Diablo IV Season 1

Diablo IV Season 1 is here, dropping the new Malignant enemies for players to tackle. As with any season of this game, for better or worse, you have to create a new character to explore all of the new content. For some, their only goal will be to breeze through the levels and story all the way to the new endgame content. If that is you, there are several ways to help out with your Diablo IV Season 1 leveling. Some of them will even be a pretty swift way to get through Season of the Malignant.

How can you level up quickly in Diablo IV Season 1?

Here are the recommendations I have for leveling up your new Diablo IV characters in season 1:

  • Pick your class carefully. Choose a class you enjoy and optimize your build to be the most effective at slaying enemies.
  • If you’ve already completed the campaign, skip it with your new character.
  • Focus on mainly Whisper quests and dungeons (There’s a fantastic map by Tyndy on the subreddit for the game!)
  • Don’t forget to do your class quest as soon as you reach level 15 or 25 (depends on your class) so you can tackle Strongholds, which are great.
  • Solo players should focus on World Tier 1 difficulty, as World Tier 2 can take too long to defeat foes.
  • On the other hand, parties should opt for the higher tiers.
  • Don’t obsess over your equipment until the endgame. Simply equip whatever has the higher Power stat.
  • Use any elixirs you obtain whenever you get them. They boost your XP gain by 5%.
  • If you are over level 50, the Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides will be your best friend for leveling up the fastest.

In the end, I do recommend you to party up with others if you wish to reach the endgame the fastest. But I get if you prefer playing solo, like I do. Just know that it won’t be as quick as if you were in a dedicated party with other players.

Diablo IV is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
