God of War Ragnarök Valhalla features a new journey for Kratos that promises a dive into his past. So many players may be wondering if Thor is in God of War Ragnarök Valhalla.
So, does Thor make an appearance in the DLC? Sadly, the answer to this one is a resounding no. As cool as it would be to have a rematch with Thor or even team up with him as Kratos, it’s just not something we’ll be experiencing this outing.
From a storyline standpoint, this kind of fits, right? I mean, after all, according to Norse lore, warriors get into Valhalla when they die in battle. Spoilers for the main game, but Thor died from a sneak attack by Odin after putting his weapon aside. Total sucker punch. This means that Thor likely didn’t get into Valhalla at all.
But that’s not to say there aren’t some familiar faces. To start, many enemies we’ve come to know will be battling in the halls of Valhalla. Additionally, a few choice Valkyrie may just feel the need to give Kratos another challenge.
There are also several genuine surprises that I won’t even spoil here. Nothing revolutionary, but certainly has weight in the overall mythos of God of War. Despite the story not being the main focus of this DLC, it’s still cool to see how much they crammed into free content.
While it’s unfortunate that Thor is not in God of War Ragnarök Valhalla, there are still plenty of surprises and difficult challenges to face. Since Kratos has an incredibly personal story this time, you may still see a few shocking faces. Thor just won’t be one of them.
