Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is the in midst of its beta testing phase right now. Players have the chance to jump in and check out the upcoming Treyarch title for the first time. If you want to know if the Black Ops 6 beta has crossplay or cross-platform functionality, I have your back with the answers.
Does the Black Ops 6 Beta Have Crossplay?
Fortunately for you, the beta version of this game absolutely has crossplay functionality built into it from the start. Yes, you will be able to play alongside anyone across any platform no matter which one they are on. This even means you can team up with your friends in the beta across platforms.
Even if your friend is on PlayStation and you are on Xbox, you are able to still join the same party and team up together. Of course, you can turn off this setting in the Account & Network section of the main menu if you’d like. This is beneficial, for instance, if you want to avoid the frequent hackers on PC and play solely with console players.
Can You Play Cross-Platform in the Beta?
The tricky part about the crossplay situation in the Black Ops 6 beta is cross-platform saves and play. While your account and progression remains the same no matter what platform you are on, it is a bit different in the beta. You see, if you are playing in the early access beta, you can only play on the platform you picked when you redeemed your beta code.
However, once the open beta begins in the second weekend September 6-9, 2024, you will be able to play on any platform you like. This way, you can test out the game on console, PC, and so on to see what you prefer.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on October 25, 2024. The beta will run in two phases until September 9, 2024.
