Identity v Story Will Finally Update With New Expansion

Identity V story update time of reunion

For the first time since its original release in 2018, the main story of Identity V will receive some updates. On October 28, 2021, the Identity V update will include the Time of Reunion expansion pack. Along with movement in the main plotline, the October 28 patch will also have the Detective Conan crossover essences.

Unlike similar games, such as Dead by Daylight, Identity V has a main plotline that is relatively separate from character stories. It is a frame narrative in which Orpheus, a detective, has to find Mr. Reichenbach’s missing daughter. In order to do so, he investigates Oletus Manor and inside the Manor, he finds numerous diaries, which belonged to the Survivors. Orpheus deducing events from diary entries are the matches that players can play in Identity V.

NetEase first teased the new story in May 2021, as well as during the COA IV pro Identity V tournaments. The trailer included teasers of Patient, “Psychologist,” and Naiad, as well as the not-yet-implemented Darkwoods map. Completing quests will allow players the chance to obtain exclusive S skins, which are separate from the Halloween outfits that will appear in the store soon.

The Detective Conan crossover essences will also appear in-game from October 28, 2021. While the essences are available, players will have the chance to obtain skins of Conan, Shinichi, Ran, Kogoro, Ai, and Heiji. It is currently unknown just how players will get these essences, as Essence 3 will become available in about a month.

Identity V is available worldwide on mobile devices and Windows PC.
