Karaoke is back in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and you’ll be able to do that and more at Ichiban Kasuga and his group’s hangout place, Survive Bar. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
This is Survive Bar, where Ichiban Kasuga and his allies can hang out in the entertainment district. Originally, it was Adachi who was a regular here, and after Adachi invited Kasuga and the others, it became a regular place to frequent.
At Survive Bar, you can enjoy karaoke, listen to music on CDs collected through the town, get the manager to make you a bento, grow plants, and more. You can also forge bonds with you allies by talking to them and finding out more about them.
Karaoke
The popular karaoke side activity returns, and is playable in Survive Bar. Past popular songs return, while new songs have been composed for the game. Kasuga can sing the new song ‘The Demon’s Hell Nabe’, while Saeko has a solo song as well.
Listening to CDs
You can listen to music from across the Yakuza series and other famous titles by Sega by collecting CDs, of which there are over 30 to collect. You can get them as prizes at Play Spots, or buy them. You can use the stereo music player to listen to it at Survive Bar.
Growing Plants
You can get permission to grow plants in the planters in front of Survive Bar.
When you have seeds or sprout items, you can access glowing planters across Yokohama and plant the seeds there. Depending on what you grow, how long it will take to fully grow it will differ. Furthermore, there are also items that can increase the yield or reduce the amount of time needed to grow the plants.
After the plants are fully grown, you can receive the fruits as items. You can eat them by themselves to restore HP and MP, or sell it for money.
The manager of the bar might look like a tough guy, but he’s surprisingly competent, and will create bentos that will restore all your party members’ HP, make flower bouquets perfect for presents, and powerful medicine that would be expensive regularly, all for free. Well, as long as you pass him the materials.
