Hyrule Warriors Update Adds A Classic Tunic For Link

Hyrule Warriors Legends is coming to the Nintendo 3DS, but this week Nintendo also stealthily released a tiny update for the original Hyrule Warriors for Wii U. Zelda Informer reports that an update for the game adds a Classic Tunic costume for Link to the list of skins.

Whether or not more DLC is scheduled for release on Wii U in the future is unknown, but the 3DS version is getting new content such as Tetra and the King of Hyrule (both from The WindWaker) as playable characters. It would be very surprising if these weren’t released for the Wii U version at some point.

There’s also been speculation that Linkle, a female variant of Link, will be added to Hyrule Warriors Legends, based on the appearance of a crossbow in the original leaked trailer for the game. In her original artwork, Linkle is seen armed with one, although obviously her appearance hasn’t been confirmed yet.
