Weekly Shonen Jump revealed a teaser trailer for volume 37 of the Hunter x Hunter manga on its official YouTube account. The trailer features voiced quotes from Hisoka Morow and Chrollo Lucilfer. Hunter x Hunter is currently on an indefinite hiatus due to complications on Yoshihiro Togashi’s health. [Thanks, Natalie!]
Volume 37 of the Hunter x Hunter manga is titled “Escape,” and it released in Japan back in November 4, 2022. The title makes reference to Kacho and Fugetsu, princes of the Kakin Empire, and their escape attempt from the Black Whale. The video picks up on quotes from Hisoka and Chrollo. Daisuke Namikawa plays the role of Hisoka and Mamoru Miyano plays the role of Chrollo.
The trailer highlights Hisoka and Chrollo’s ongoing rivalry, and teases the Phantom Troupe’s persecution of Hisoka. Daisuke Namikawa voices Hisoka, while Mamoru Miyano voices Chrollo. You can watch the trailer here:
Hunter x Hunter is currently on an indefinite hiatus. Yoshihiro Togashi talked about his health condition in July 2022, and the complications this brings to his work as a manga artist.
Weekly Shonen Jump will announce when the Hunter x Hunter hiatus ends. Viz has licensed the manga, and the 2011 version of the anime is available on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
