After unlocking the Furnace in Palworld, you will need to catch a specific Pal if you want to operate it. Here is how to use the Furnace in Palworld so you can create Ingots.
How to use the Primitive Furnace in Palworld
After you unlock the Primitive Furnace in Palworld at level 10, you must have a Pal with the Kindling skill to use it. So this means exploring the map until you find a creature that can specifically use fire while at camp.
Because of its early-game spawn locations, Foxparks is the best Pal to use the Furance in Palworld. Once you’ve caught the fire-based Pal, you must follow a few steps before you can get the furnace up and running.
Below are the steps to use the Furnace:
- Walk up to your Pal Box in camp and select “Pal Box Management.”
- Select a Foxparks in your box and drop it in an empty slot in the “Pal who is at the base” menu.
- Next, walk up to the Furnace and select which item you want to make.
- For Charcoal, you need two pieces of Wood. For Ingot, you need two Ore.
- After selecting the item you want to make, click “Start production.”
- Your Foxparks will now automatically walk up to the Furnace and breathe fire into it to start it up!
How to get the Furnace in Palworld
You unlock the Primitive Furnace in Palworld starting at level 10. The smelter mechanic will set you back three technology points. Even after reaching the required level, you must gather a few resources before you can build it.
Below are the production items you need to make the Primitive Furnace:
- 20 Wood.
- 50 Stone.
- 3 Flame Organ.
If you are looking for Flame Organ, you can get the item by catching or defeating Foxparks in the wild. You will need the Pal to use the Furnace anyway, so you can knock out both objectives at the same time.
Where to find Foxparks location in Palworld
Even if you’ve unlocked the Furnace in Palworld, you may be unable to start it if you haven’t found a Foxparks yet. Thankfully, I’ve done the legwork for you and found two early-game locations where you can easily find the fire-based Pal.
In Palworld, Foxparks can be found in the hills near the Grassy Behemoth tower or to the right of the Rayne Syndicate tower. You can find the exact locations where I found the Pal in my game in the map images below:
So, to use the Furnace, you will want to catch Foxparks and get to level 10. Once you’ve done both of these tasks, you can start using the smelting mechanic fairly easily. The interface is a bit tricky at first because you need to set your Foxparks to your camp to use the Furnace.
