Although summoning other players is a life-saving tool when trapped in Lords of the Fallen, the feature also has some downsides. Here is everything you need to know about PvP in Lords of the Fallen.
While PvP can be incredibly useful, another player can invade your world and be out for blood when the feature is being used. However, you can also turn the tables and invade another player’s world. As online combat comes with various rewards for players, here is your guide to using PvP in Lords of the Fallen.
How to use PvP in Lords of the Fallen
Using PvP in Lords of the Fallen is as simple as summoning another player. Go to any Vestige or planted Vestige Seed and select the multiplayer option. At the bottom of the menu is the option “Slaughter Lampbearer,” which will put you in a queue to invade another player’s world.
You can invade other players’ worlds as well as be invaded yourself as long as this multiplayer option is enabled. On the other hand, the player versus player mode in Lords of the Fallen is named the “Crimson Ritual.”
What to do when invading another world in Lords of the Fallen
When you jump into another player’s world, you likely won’t spawn directly next to them. Instead, you will be roughly one room down from them, giving both of you time to prepare. Whether or not you emerge in Axiom or the Umbral Realm depends on where your target is.
Regardless, you will only have one life when invading and will not get a second chance in Umbral. Because you are facing another player, their builds, abilities, and tactics are as varied as yours can be. Additionally, multiple players can invade a world at the same time.
Walls of moths block the exits, entrances, and Vestiges until only one player remains standing. These walls block escape for both the invader and the invaded. Fortunately, you do not lose anything if your invader or the defender kills you.
What are the PvP rewards in Lords of the Fallen?
When you successfully invade and kill another player or defend yourself, you earn Severed Hands. The rare item is a currency for buying items at the Shrine of Adyr. The special shop is located within Fitzroy’s Gorge, the area after Forsaken Fens.
On the bridge where you fight the Ruiner, you will find a corpse you will have to Soulflay at the end. Once you have done this, cross the path in the Umbral Realm you have just opened. You will find the blood-stained entrance to the Shrine of Adyr at the end. There is a Vestige within this chamber.
Whereas the Shrine of Orius in Skyrest Bridge rewards you for helping players, the Shrine of Adyr rewards you for invading. By collecting Severed Hands, you will be able to purchase several rewards. These include Charred Fingers, tincts, and various other pieces of equipment.
Lords of the Fallen is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
