Before you can even start this hidden side quest, which takes a few minutes to complete, you need to meet a few requirements. The first one is you must own The Indigo Disk DLC and beat the game’s main story. After that, complete The Indigo Disk through to where you see the credits roll.

At this point, you are now almost ready to do this quest. However, there is one other requirement you should know about. You also need to speak with Penny through her optional additional conversation at the school in Mesagoza if you haven’t already. This is the one where you see Penny spy on the Team Star members. It was available before The Indigo Disk came out, but you may have missed it until now, like me.

Where to begin the Team Star quest

Once these requirements are met, you can start the secret Team Star quest in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet The Indigo Disk DLC. Head to the entrance to the school where the library is. Look to the left of the receptionist counter where you take classes, and you’ll see two students—a male and female—talking next to a bookcase, as seen in the screenshot above.

Speak with them, and you may be surprised they are the Team Star members Giacomo and Eri. Speak with them to begin a short side quest, giving you more time with these unique characters and their troubles at school.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet and The Indigo Disk DLC are available exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
