How to Unlock the Alexander: Gordias Alliance Raid in FFXIV

Much like The Coils of Bahamut Raids, the Alexander series will see eight players face off against more than a handful of bosses as they work their way through the gargantuan machine. This guide breaks down how to unlock Alexander: Gordias in FFXIV and the raid’s savage version.

How to Unlock Alexander: Gordias in FFXIV

Players will need to meet the following requirements to access Alexander: Gordias in this Raid series:

  • Complete “Heavensward.”
  • Reach Item Level 170.
  • Reach Level 60 with your character.

To unlock Alexander: Gordias, players will need to have completed the base content for the Heavensward expansion. Once you’ve bested and unseated King Thordan, you can head to Idyllshire and speak to Slowfix at X:7.5, Y:6.5 to pick up the quest “Disarmed.” This will begin a series of quests you must undertake to unlock the full extent of the Alexander: Gordias Raids.

After completing Alexander – The Fist of the Father, head to The Dravanian Hinterlands to speak to Biggs at X:21, Y:18. Accept the “Steel and Steam” quest to access Alexander – The Cuff of the Father. Rinse and repeat this step after beating The Cuff of the Father to access the final two Raids in the Gordias series.

Below is a list of the Raids you will unlock in Alexander: Gordias:

  • Alexander – The Fist of the Father
  • Alexander – The Cuff of the Father
  • Alexander – The Arm of the Father
  • Alexander – The Burden of the Father

You can unlock the Savage version of Alexander: Gordias by speaking to The Wandering Minstrel in Mor Dhona at X:21,Y:8 upon completing the normal versions of the Raids.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
