How to unlock the Halatali Dungeon in FFXIV

Halatali is one of several optional Dungeons players can unlock. While it was previously much harder to denote what quest would or would not grant access to the Dungeon, it’s much clearer this time. However, you will need to make sure you take care of a few things to enter Halatali.

These include:

  • Completing the Main Scenario Quest “Dressed to Deceive”
  • Have one Combat Job Class at Level 20

Speak to Nedrick Ironheart at X:12.0, Y:14.3 in the Western Thanalan to accept the quest “Hello Halatali.” He will be marked with a gold-rimmed bubble above his head with a blue center and an accompanying plus mark. All optional content that unlocks something is marked with this exact icon.

So, if you are interacting with an NPC that has this specific quest marker, it means that they will unlock something upon completing their quest. This doesn’t always mean a Dungeon, however.

Once you have completed Halatali, you can unlock Halatali (Hard), a variant of the Dungeon. The requirements to access Halatali (Hard) are listed below:

  • Have one Combat Job Class at Level 50
  • Complete the Main Scenario Quest, “The Ultimate Weapon.”
  • Complete Halatali (Normal)
  • Be Item Level 55

To unlock Halatali (Hard), you must accept the quest “This Time’s for Fun” in Mor Dhona. Speak to Hugubert at X:22, Y:8 to undertake the quest and unlock this Dungeon. Doing so will also add it to your 50/60/70/80 Duty Roulette.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
