One of the first sidequests in Final Fantasy XVI to actually take you out of the hideaway is “Moving Heaven and Earth.” Bohumil’s assistant Martelle went to Orabelle Downs and hasn’t returned. It’s up to Clive to find out what happened. Which means a quick visit and fight against not-so-intimidating foes.

Where’s the missing person and soil in “Moving Heaven and Earth” in Final Fantasy XVI?

Okay. Once you get the quest, open the world map from the main menu. Travel to Orabelle Downs. Immediately when you walk in, you’ll see remains of a wooden building to Clive’s right. Go in that direction. You’ll hear a woman cry out.

Here are some screenshots showing exactly where to go:

This is the missing person, and she’s surrounded by Vine Spinner spiders. Defeat them. They were all level 19 foes when I faced them, which was the same level as Clive. After the first batch are gone, another wave will appear. You’ll get 24 EXP, 12 AP, and 84 gil for this, as well as two Valley Madder and four Sharp Fang materials.

After helping Martelle, you’ll volunteer to get soil for her. In the fields in the immediate area, you’ll see highlighted markers. Grab all four marked samples, then return to Bohumil and Martelle at the hideaway by fast traveling via the world map. You’ll get 18 more experience, 10 Valley Madder, 20 Sharp Fang, and 30 Bloody Hide.

Final Fantasy XVI is available for the PlayStation 5. There is a six-month exclusivity period.
