In Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, Yuma can take on lots of sidequests and requests from the citizens of the city. There are multiple requests each chapter that will reward him with DP, which you can put towards giving him better skills or stats in the Mystery Labyrinths. The game helpfully marks request NPCs, so you should be able to find them easily. You can also come back to finish up requests after a chapter is over if you’ve missed any.

“Her Name is Fubuki, the Legendary Waitress!”

Start this Request by talking to the guy in front of the cafe in Ginma District. He’s a fan of Fubuki and he’ll ask you a bunch of questions about her. The answers are “Tied back,” “3,” and “Fubuki Clockford.” Then, accept the final challenge.

Go to Kamasaki District and go to the Variety Store underground. Then, go back to the Ginma District and show the guy what you got.

“Lending the Church a Hand Again”

You can start this Request at the Church if you completed the first Request from the Nun back in Chapter Two. Talk to the Nun and she’ll ask you to go listen to people’s problems again. Like the first part of this Request, you can technically give whatever answer you want, but there is a “correct” answer that’ll net you the most DP.

  1. Worried Man: Book
  2. Woman Who Hates Being Hit On: Leave it to me
  3. Woman With Stage Fright: Things are fine as they are

Go back to the Church when Yuma prompts you to and then finish the quest.

“Lost in the Rain”

You can start this Request by talking to Iruka at the Clocktower. Choose to encourage her and it’ll begin. Go to the Kamasaki District and visit Margulaw’s shop. He agrees to help you about Iruka but you’ll have to help him first. Go to the Dohya District and go to the house where the Resistance confined Yuma. It’s the one in the bottom right area of the map. Deliver Margulaw’s parcel.

Once you do, go back to Kamasaki District and talk to Margulaw. Afterwards, take what he gives you and go back to Iruka by the Clocktower.

“The Fortune Teller Sees All”

You can start this Request by talking to a suspicious dude in Marunomon District. By the way, keep in mind you can’t travel by bus to Marunomon because it’s still flooded. You have to manually make your way there by bus. After you talk to the suspicious dude, go down to the bottom of the map and talk to the fortune teller in front of the bank.

After that, go up the stairs nearby and a girl will talk to you. Go to where the marker is and once you start going up the stairs, some guy will run up to you. This is when the Request will actually formally start. Go check out all the markers that appeared on your map. Go confront the fortune teller after you figure out what’s been going on.
