How to See Simondo Belmont in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns

While there are no vampires or Castlevania packs for Vampire Survivors, there is a reference to the series in the Operation Guns DLC via Simondo Belmont. The character is one of the boss type characters and playable units you can encounter in the game.

How do I find Simondo Belmont in the Vampire Survivors Operation Guns DLC?

Getting to encounter Simondo is all about survival in the add-on. The character cameo only comes up during the Neo Galuga stage. This level is immediately unlocked after purchasing the add-on, so you don’t need to worry about meeting special criteria to visit it.

From there, you just need to stay alive until about the 20 minute mark. I tended to see Simondo around 20 or 21 minutes. You may need to be in a specific area of Neo Galuga. I only encountered him in the “city” portion in the center of the map. The character looks very similar to the Contra: Hard Corps boss, right down to the guitar case on his back and headphones with antennae.

Defeating the character adds him to the Bestiary. However, you don’t get any special drops from this fight.

Can you play as Simondo Belmont in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns?

Yup! Simondo is a playable character, and you can unlock him if you got Newt Plissken. You get that unit by finding 28 Grenades. That unlocks him, the bearer ofo the Diver Mines weapon.

To play as Simondo, you need to evolve the Diver Mines to Atmo Torpedo. To do that, first pick Newt Plissken. Then, select the Neo Galuga stage. Grab the Weapon Power-Up (the grey suitcase) directly to the south of your spawn point. Then, go to the southwest corner. Grab the brown satchel that lets you select any passive item. Select the Attractorb. Max out the Diver Mines’ level, then beat bosses. One of the chests they drop may evolve Diver Mines to Atmo Torpedo, which then unlocks Simondo Belmont in Vampire Survivors Operation Guns.

Vampire Survivors and the Operation Guns DLC are available on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.
