How do I romance Nami in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

Nami is one of the harder characters to romance in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life by far, and doing so will require you to engage in a specific minigame to get the items to you need to get this love interest’s attention.

Here are the best items to give to Nami, and items to avoid, if you want to romance her in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life:

  • Loves: Shortcake
  • Likes: Fossils, Cooked Dishes, A Quality Crops, Stone Disc, Flowers (Blue Trick), Statues like Clay Figurine
  • Dislikes: Fish, Ore, Flowers (Anything but the Blue Trick)

Shortcake, the one item Nami loves, is hard to make within the first year of the game. This requires milk, which is easy enough to require, and strawberries. Strawberries only grow in from Autumn to Spring, so if you want to romance Nami, you will need to immediately buy strawberries as soon as you start the game. That said, you cannot make Shortcake without obtaining the recipe or leveling up your cooking, since you will need to do it “Choose Ingredients” instead of “Make by Recipe,” which has its dessert option locked.

Nami, as mentioned previously, is one of the harder characters to romance. This is because you will need to go to the archeological site to dig up fossils and statues to give as gifts to Nami. You can, of course wait until Blue Trick flowers in the Fall, but if you don’t propose to Nami before the middle of Winter, you may be cutting it close in terms of being able to propose to them. This means that you will want to visit the site each day and dig up whatever you can. Thankfully, this time around, spots with items are clearly marked by bits of debris sticking out of the dirt, so it makes it less random.

Where can I find Nami in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

Nami is often wandering around Forgotten Valley and can be found in a choice few spots. This includes the archeological site just north of Vesta’s Farm, by the Goddess Spring, and at the inn. Being a late riser, Nami will wake up around 9am, and this is when you can find her in her hotel room. This is the best time to give her gifts, since she tend to roam around quite a lot and can sometimes be hard to find.

How do I check my romance level with Nami in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

Nami is a temporary resident of Forgotten Valley and stays at the inn. This is where you will find her journal where you can check how many hearts you have with her. Like all characters, once Nami has a total of five hearts, all of which must be red, you can then propose with the Blue Feather. Additionally, you can also check your in-game menu through the “Residents” tab, but it does not provide a clear indication like her journal will.

Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is available for the Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.
