Black Myth Wukong has a series of DLC items players can obtain after purchasing the Deluxe Edition. This set of armor and weapon are absolutely gorgeous, and do come with their own benefits. This guide will break down what those benefits are, and where you can pick up the items in game.
How to Redeem Your DLC Items in Black Myth Wukong
You will not immediately receive your items in Black Myth Wukong. This might be a bit confusing to players that will open their inventory and simply expect the items that were bundled in with the Deluxe Edition to appear. Instead, you will need to collect your DLC items from a shrine — the “bonfires” of Black Myth Wukong.
These shrines are more than just a place for you to receive your items, but are where you will level up and craft gear as well. But for the intent and purpose of this guide, this is where you’ll be picking up your items.
Players that purchased the Deluxe Edition of Black Myth Wukong will receive:
- Bronzecloud Staff (Weapon)
- Folk Opera Mask (Equipment)
- Folk Opera Almsgiving Armor (Equipment)
- Folk Opera Leather Bracers (Equipment)
- Folk Opera Buskins (Equipment)
- Curio: Wind Chimes
These items are more than just cosmetic, as the Folk Opera set will provide you with “moderate” Will gain when defeating an enemy. Additionally, the Wind Chime Curio will increase your movement speed. However, this outfit doesn’t dramatically increase your defense, and does drop off a bit after the first few bosses of the game. That said, they do look really nice.
You will encounter your first shrine within the opening minutes of Black Myth Wukong, after completing the initial encounter at the start of the game. After that, head to the shrine, light some incense, and pick up your items. From there you can navigate to your inventory and put them on.
Black Myth Wukong will release for PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X on August 20, 2024.
