How to Recruit Yume in Eiyuden Chronicle

Yume is one of those people you can recruit in Eiyuden Chronicle that you can miss if you aren’t taking the time to talk to NPCs. As such, you might not find her.

How do I recruit Yume in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Okay, so I recruited Yume in Eiyuden Chronicle after Nowa and his crew moved into their castle. However, someone I conferred with recruited her prior to that, so you might be able to add her to your party sooner.

Head to Werne Village. Immediately to the west, not far from Frida’s stand, you’ll see an elderly woman. If you talk to her, she’ll explain she is Yume’s grandmother. The little girl is missing. Which is bad, because there are also possibly monsters around. Nowa suggests that she could be at the mountain pass or Redthroat Ridge. She’s at Redthroat, so go there.

Here are two screenshots of the maps showing where to find Yume’s grandma, then Yume.

You can’t miss Yume, as she’s right along the path at the fork. Walking up to her triggers an event and gives you the chance to allow her to join.

Is Yume good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

Yume is an adorable little girl, so she’s great. She’s also the first two-space unit you can get in Eiyuden Chronicle, which is cool. However, I didn’t use her and I don’t think I’d recommend using her either.

Yume arrives at level six. So even if you do recruit her earlier, she’s going to be behind other characters. She’s also a two-spot character, and early in the game you’re going to want to rely on a full party of six to take advantage of special Rune-Lenses and abilities.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
