Wyll is one of many companions that you are able to recruit in Baldur’s Gate 3. As with the others, he represents a specific class in the game: the Warlock. He is uniquely one twisted with Eldritch powers that he is able to use quite well. Here’s what you need to do recruit Wyll in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where to Find and Recruit Wyll in Baldur’s Gate 3

Fortunately, Wyll is one of the easiest and most straightforward companions to unlock in the game. After completing the “Escape the Nautiloid” opening prologue, you will find yourself on land. Head northwest from your location to the Druid Grove.

In this small settlement, you’ll find Wyll on the northern side. He will be training the Tiefling children to defend themselves. If you speak with him, you’ll have the option to help with his training and give some tips to the kids around or even be a little mean.

Regardless, you’ll have the chance to recruit Wyll at this point. He is quite easy to convince to join your team, but he wants something in return. He has a demon that he is hunting down by the name of Karlach. He wants your help to find and finish her off.

This is the part where Wyll’s story gets a bit tricky. Though it is easy to recruit him to your team, hunting down Karlach is another story. After all, she can be a companion too. Before you ask, yes, you can have both of them on your team at the same time.

I recommend not having Wyll in your party when you initially recruit Karlach and vice versa, or it can be troublesome. It is possible to stop them from killing each other at your camp, but you may want to save before trying to persuade them.

Just know that not helping Wyll to eliminate Karlach, even if they come to a truce, will have some consequences for him, which I dare not spoil here.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for PCs and will release for the PS5 on September 6, 2023.
