How to Obtain Mastery Points in Granblue Fantasy Relink

Mastery Points are an integral part of building your characters in Granblue Fantasy Relink as you fill out your Masteries skill trees. Fortunately, it isn’t too difficult to gather all the Mastery Points you’ll need to build up a character’s arsenal in Granblue Fantasy Relink.

Mastery Points are used to obtain Skills and upgrade passives for characters. As mentioned earlier, Masteries are basically Granblue Fantasy Relink‘s version of a skill tree. They are effectively just as valuable as leveling up the character itself and their weapon. However, Mastery Points are only obtained in a handful of ways. That said, they are fairly easy to come by so long as you are willing to grind for them.

Here is the list of three ways players can obtain more Mastery Points:

  • Leveling Up: This happens naturally as you use a character for quests and in battle.
  • Completing Quests at the Quest Counter: When you turn in a mission, these points can be one of the rewards.
  • Opening Chests: In addition to treasure, I’ve found the chests you encounter on missions or in the world can have Mastery Points inside.

The best way to obtain Mastery Points is to simply play through the game. By completing the main scenario, you will level up and obtain Mastery Points. However, you will notice that the roster of Granblue Fantasy Relink is pretty large. This means that you will need to grind out levels on characters along with completing quests at the Quest Counter to get those extra Mastery Points needed to obtain everything for every character.

This is where Granblue Fantasy Relink expects you to spend a lot of time with it. That way, you master characters, level up your weapons, and fill out your Weapon Collection. My suggestion is to save Mastery Points for characters you really want to spend them on and see yourself using. That means characters that will be mainstays in your party.

Due to the significance of the player character, I also suggest spending Mastery Points on them as well. They are by far one of the best support characters in the game. Also, you need to have Gran or Djeeta in your party.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is immediately available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. A demo is available on the PS4 and PC.
