In the Tower Courtyard, you will be given the Sunlit Armor for free after speaking to Eva Levante. Next, participate in the Bonfire Bash event to obtain the “Guardian in Shining Armor” quest. To complete the first step of the mission, you will need to pick up a total of eight Silver Leaves. This is perfect because it’s the exact item you need to kick off the process of upgrading your Solstice cosmetics.

The Silver Leaves event currency is obtained by completing Playlist activities such as Vanguard, Crucible, or Gambit while wearing a piece of the Sunlit Armor. You will also need to pick up Kindling, which is given out as a reward for completing Event Challenges. With Silver Leaves and Kindling in hand, it’s time to jump back into Bonfire Bash. Upon completing the PVE mode, the Silver Leaves in your inventory will automatically turn into ash.

With the Silver Ash in hand, Kindling must be added to the armor sets mod menu. Once you’ve slotted the currency into any Sunlit armor piece of your choosing, you can now equip Glowing Embers in the next slot by using your Silver Ash. You will need to repeat the above process multiple times to eventually upgrade to Large Kindling and Shining Embers by obtaining more Silver Leaves and Silver Ash.

To make the Sunlit Armor completely glow in Destiny 2, you must unlock the Fully Rekindled mod by purchasing the upgrade with three Kindling.  While it may seem tedious at first, the Sunlit Armor isn’t just a cosmetic item. After fully upgrading it, you can re-roll the armor’s stats with 60 Silver Ash. So Guardians looking to perfect their builds will not want to miss out on this opportunity!

Destiny 2 is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
