How to get Glass in Lego Fortnite

To get glass in Lego Fortnite, you need to make it. Like other valuable materials in the sandbox mode, you will need to craft it by finding resources on the map. Fortunately, the recipe for making Glass is quite simple enough. Here are the times you will need to obtain to make Glass in Fortnite.

  • 1 Brightcore
  • 2 Sand Pieces

You see, like turning wood into planks, all you need is some Sand and one Brightcore to turn it into glass. This may sound pretty simple, but the problem is that you also need a Metal Smelter first to make this happen. Metal Smelters take quite a long time to acquire, especially for newer players.

This is because players will need to at least reach level 9 before they can access Metal Smelter in Lego Fortnite. After reaching this level your village will unlock the Metal Smelter recipe. Once you have this, you can build a Metal Smelter with the following materials:

  • 3 Blast Cores
  • 15 Brightcores
  • 35 Obsidian Slabs

You can get all three of these materials from the lava caves in the Dry Valley desert biome. However, you will need to use a Stone Breaker to turn the Obsidian into Obsidian Slabs. Grab some extra Brightcores while you are at it for your glass.

How to get Sand in Lego Fortnite

Now that you have a Metal Smelter ready, it is time to gather sand so you can know how to make glass in Lego Fortnite. There are two different places where you can get sand in this game:

  • Beaches
  • Dry Valley (Desert Biome)

Head to either of these and look for the sand in this area. Bring a shovel of any rarity with you and start using it anywhere on the sand. You can do this infinitely as many times as you want to gather up as much sand as you need. Once you have your sand, take it back to your Metal Smelter and melt it down to make glass. You can then use that glass to make power cells for cars and other various crafting recipes.

Lego Fortnite is available now for Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
