In Nightingale, arrows and projectiles are necessary when it comes to hunting game like deer. Here is a guide on how to make some for yourself.
Technically speaking, you cannot make “arrows” in Nightingale. Instead, you can make Simple Rock Marbles to use in your Simple Slingbow. While they look a lot more like a sling than a bow, they function in the exact same way.
How do I craft a Simple Rock Marble in Nightingale?
In order to create the Simple Rock Marble or the Simple Slingbow, you need to first place the Simple Workbench in your world. You can upgrade this workbench to make more powerful weapons down the line. But for now, let’s focus on the Simple Rock Marble and Simple Slingbow.
In order to make the Simple Slingbow, you’ll need 2 Straps and 1 Wood Bundle. You can get Wood Bundles from chopping down trees, and you can make Straps from Pelts at the Tanning Station. Once you have your Simple Slingbow, you can make your projectiles. Each Simple Rock Marble creation will net you 20 stones, and you’ll need 6 Rocks to craft it.
How do I use Simple Rock Marble?
Once you have your Slingbow and your Rock Marble, you’re ready to go around shooting things. First, you have to load your Slingbow with R. The Simple Slingbow can only load a single projectile. Once you have that ready, you can enter the aiming view with the right mouse button. When aiming the Simple Slingbow at your target, make sure you have what you’re aiming at at the bottom of the view.
After you do so, you can use the left mouse button to aim at your target. This is a good weapon to use when hunting, but it’s also handy when you’re going up against multiple enemies. Shooting projectiles don’t require any stamina and since you can maintain distance, this is a much safer method than using melee attacks.
Nightingale is in early access and it is available via Windows PC.
