Honkai Star Rail is full of various characters to add to your party. The only problem is that not every character levels up at the same time. As new characters come out in the latest patches, you’ll have to level them up separately if you want to make full use of them in battle. Here are the best ways to level up characters quickly in Honkai Star Rail.

These are the six methods I would suggest to all players who want to max out their characters’ levels as fast as possible in Honkai Star Rail:

  • Use a leveling calculator: There is an official that tells you exactly what materials you’ll need to level up.
  • XP Materials: There are various experience materials you can use to instantly gain XP and levels. You can get them through the Adventure Log, Traveler’s Guide, chests, and various encounters. Traveler’s Guide gives the most, as a single one adds 20,000 XP to a character. However, don’t waste one if a character needs less than that to level up.
  • Ascension Materials: You’ll need these rare materials to increase the max level a character can go to. You get these from the Simulated Universe and other RNG-based content.
  • Completing main story quests and other missions is a great way to get a lot of experience.
  • Defeating basic enemies helps, but it is one of the slower ways to increase characters’ levels.
  • Bud of Memories: Golden Calyx. This Golden Calyx content is quite easy and early in the game, and you can get an unbelievable amount of XP materials from it without much difficulty. However, it uses your Trailblaze Power to do it, so you are only able to complete a few runs of Golden Calyx per day. Depending on your Trailblaze Rank, you might be able to get multiple Traveler’s Guide items out of it

When it comes to leveling up characters quickly in this game, I always suggest finding the characters you care about the most. Have a set party of four you want to use the most, and focus on building them up. Once you have them where you want them, then you can focus on the other characters you own.

Honkai: Star Rail is available for Android and iOS devices and PCs.
