Baldur’s Gate 3 features an easy-to-miss side quest in Act 2 while you explore the Shadow-Cursed Lands that has you investigate the Selunite resistance. To start this quest, head to the Potter’s Shop location, just south of the Last Light Inn in the Act 2 area. Take out the few shadow enemies here and then loot them for a key to open the Potter’s Shop chest and start this side quest.
How to Complete the Selunite Resistance Quest in Baldur’s Gate 3
Now that you’ve begun the investigate the Selunite resistance side quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, here is what you need to do to complete it. First, get ready to head to a specific area. I noted on the map where you’ll want to be near the Last Light Inn.
Speaking of which, things really begin when you head back to the Last Light Inn to look for clues. Once there, you’ll see the Tiefling kid Mattis there. Now, at this point, the best way to speed up this section is to talk with him and either persuade or purchase the Tower-Shaped key from him. Go into the inn’s cellar at X:-49 Y:144.
From there, go into the one cellar room and get the Last Light Detention Cell Key, so you can go into the cage and get to the cracked wall you can break down. Take out the Meenlock enemies here and then loot the area for treasure. They’re sensitive to light, so keep that in mind when attacking.
When you get that treasure, you’ll find Halfred’s Note that is part of the loot in this hidden Selunite resistance area. The exact coordinates for it are X:34 Y:-695. Get that, then head to the Masons Guild in the southwestern corner of the map (make sure to already have full protection from the curse) at X: -129, Y: 31. Open up the trapdoor on the first floor of the guild and go down then use the Tower-Shaped key to progress.
Ignore all loot in this area (they have traps and aren’t worth it right now) and continue forward to fight some shadows. After the fight, loot all of the chests, crates, and everything else in this area to find out the fate of the Selunite resistance and complete this side quest.
