How do I install a ComSpike Module in Starfield?

At the beginning of “Eye of the Storm,” you will be asked to “install both the ComSpike module and the Conduction Grid Module on your ship” to start the quest. To install a ComSpike module in Starfield, you will need to use the game’s Ship Builder feature after speaking to Jasmine Durand on The Key. Simply walk up to the Crimson Fleet engineer and select the “I’d like to view and modify my ships” option. Now that you have access to your ship menu, press the X button on Xbox to enter the Ship Builder mode.

Next, use your cursor to select a blank space on the grid next to your ship and press the “A” button to add a ship part. This will then pull up the items menu. Click the RB button to cycle through the menu’s tabs until you reach the Equipment section. You will now be able to select ComSpike from Equipment and add it to your ship. Make sure you actually select the mission item with your cursor and drag it to an open spot on your ship to install it fully. And that’s it!

How do I install the Conduction Grid Module in Starfield?

Just like the ComSpike, you will need to use the Ship Builder mode on The Key to install the Conduction Grid Module in Starfield. Speak to Jasmine again, and enter the Ship Builder mode using your X Button. Like before, select a blank slate on the grid when in Ship Builder mode and press the A button to access your Equipment menu.

The Conduction Grid Module can be found directly above the ComSpike in the Equipment tab and costs nothing to install. Just make sure you use your cursor to drag the object to your ship to install it. You will know you have done it correctly because the mission will automatically update once you have both key items added to your Starfield ship.
