While you may think these Crystals are hard to find, you will obtain more than enough to upgrade your gear and even complete quests associated with this material. You will more than likely come across them while exploring, or even from enemy drops, depending on what post-game area you get during your playthrough.

I mention finding them while exploring, because at the point if you have progressed the story, drakes and lesser dragons will begin to appear at a far higher frequency. Which means yes, you will need to kill drakes and lesser dragons to get Wyrmslife Crystals. Below you can see where to find some lesser dragons, but you will no doubt encounter dragons and drakes as you progress through the game.

You will find at least one lesser dragon in these locations. However, there are some wandering around Vernworth as you head closer to Rest Town. Just keep in mind that dragons can and will drop on you at random. This means that no true locations are ever really set and you will need to walk around to find them. But as mentioned previously, the dragons will more than likely begin to find you.

Another way to spawn dragons with greater efficiency is to travel around at night. A chilling prospect, but traveling at night means that things will get more dangerous, and every time I went out at night I did get swooped upon by a dragon at least once. These are fearsome foes and will take a lot of time to whittle down and kill if you don’t have the right equipment.

My suggestion is to head south to Bakbattahl early, bypassing the border gate by way of the cave to the west and getting some gear there before you get too deep into the game. This will allow you to kill dragons, griffins, and just about anything while you’re in the early hours of the game.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
