Palia is ripe with things for players to do, which includes participating in some side-quests that can net you unique items. One such quest in Palia involves obtaining Whale Bones. This guide breaks down everything you need to get them, including how and where.
How and where to get Whale Bones in Palia
Getting Whale Bones is relatively easy, though it is, unfortunately, random. So take that “easy” with a grain of salt. The only place you can obtain Whale Bones is in Bahari Bay, which means fishing in Kilima won’t yield any results. You can only fish them up from the ocean and not from any of the smaller bodies of water. I suggest heading to Coral Shores or Beachcomber Cove.
Now, why do you want to fish up Whale Bones? Well, it starts a questline with Jina that nets you some Renown and a furniture object, which is a sketch of a whale you can hang up on your walls.
You start the questline by fishing up some Whale Bones out of a chest that can only be obtained in Bahari Bay. You will need to obtain four fragments to complete the quest, which is called “A Whale of a Tale.” Thankfully, you do not need any special bait or fishing rod to obtain Whale Bones. You may want to upgrade your fishing rod, however. This is mostly because it will increase the durability of your fishing rod and means fewer trips to Sifuu’s Forge to repair it.
