One of the most exciting parts about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is the ability to equip the Symbiote Suit on Peter Parker during the main story. The Symbiote storyline is one of the most famous from the comics, and it arrives alongside the long-awaited Insomniac Games take on Venom.
Note: Full spoilers ahead for unlocking this suit and some main story elements.
How to Unlock the Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Suit
But how do you unlock the Symbiote Suit in Spider-Man 2? To do this, you must continue the main story until you reach the “Good Men” mission. This involves MJ going to find Dr. Connors and trying to save him from the abandoned zoo Kraven the Hunter has him held at. It is the 17th main mission in the story, so right around the halfway mark.
You’ll want to progress through this main mission until you find Dr. Connors and free him from his cell. Peter Parker will show up alongside Harry at this point, and the duo will try to fight against Kraven and his men to help MJ and Dr. Connors escape. Of course, certain tragic events happen in the middle of this, which leads to Harry handing over the Symbiote to Peter Parker.
This, in turn, gives Spider-Man the fan-favorite black Symbiote Suit.
Does the Symbiote Suit Have Other Color Styles?
The Spider-Man 2 Symbiote Suit features the classic black design with the white spider logo in the middle of the suit. In this game, it has a particularly sinister and venomous design, with large veins you can see popping up throughout the suit. With how many other suits in the game allow you to customize them with a few different color options, you might wonder if you can also change the Symbiote Suit.
Unfortunately, the Symbiote Suit doesn’t offer other color style options, but I still suggest playing through the main story. You can unlock other excellent suits, which might help if you get bored with this one.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is available for PS5.
