Note: There will be full spoilers ahead for “Maintaining the Edge.”

Your Starfield “Maintaining the Edge” quest begins with Imogene giving you the mission to head to the Trident space station and steal their schematics.

Here are all of the steps you should take to get in there quietly and succeed in your objective:

  1. Head to the Trident Luxury Lines Staryard in the Cheyenne System near Akila.
  2. Board the space station.
  3. Speak with the security guard at the front of the space station.
  4. You have two options for stealing the schematics. Option 1: Head downstairs from where you meet the guard.
  5. Look for the locked door and wait until no guards are around.
  6. Pick the easy lock to enter the door.
  7. Option 2: Find the expert-locked vents behind the security guard and pick it if you have Security level two or higher.
  8. Head into the room downstairs without having to worry about stealth.
  9. Either way, enter the locked room and pick the easy lock on the storage chest in the room.
  10. Steal the schematics from the chest.
  11. Return to the Ryujin Industries office in Neon on Volii Alpha in the Volii System.
  12. Speak with Imogene to turn over the stolen schematics and obtain your reward.

If you did everything right and didn’t get caught by the security guards or hurt anyone while at the space station, you’ll get the maximum credits reward plus the usual XP from Imogene.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
