The Tesselation Exotic weapon is now available in Destiny 2. Even though the Fusion Rifle isn’t set to debut for everyone until The Final Shape expansion releases in 2024, Bungie offered players a way to own the Exotic early.

How do I get the Final Shape preorder Exotic Tessellation in Destiny 2?

To get the Tessellation Destiny 2 Exotic, you need to pre-order The Final Shape Annual Pass edition. The new expansion can be purchased on Steam, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox consoles for $99. After you’ve purchased The Final Shape and its Annual Pass, the Tessellation Fusion Rifle will automatically be unlocked on your account. However, you will still need to add the Exotic weapon to your inventory using a new location added in the Season of the Witch.

To redeem Tessellation in Destiny 2, you will need to travel to the Tower Courtyard from the navigator menu. Once you arrive, you will find a new Special Deliveries Terminal behind the Cryptarch vendor Master Rahool. Simply walk up to the terminal and interact with it to access the Final Shape Exotic Fusion Rifle, as well as the other pre-order bonuses.

I have provided a map below of the exact location where you can get Tessellation in Destiny 2:

What does the Destiny 2 Exotic Tessellation do?

Tessellation is a new Destiny 2 Exotic Fusion Rifle. What makes The Final Shape preorder weapon unique is that it actually takes on the element of whatever subclass you currently have equipped. So for the very first time in Destiny 2, you will be able to have a Stasis and Strand weapon in your Energy slot. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, the Tessellation also comes with a perk where Final Blows grant grenade energy.

Here are the Weapon Perks the Tessellation Destiny 2 Exotic comes equipped with:

  • Barrel: Polygonal Rifling (Barrel optimized for recoil direction).
    • Increases Stability
  • Battery: Projection Fuse (Distance optimizations).
    • Increases range.
  • Trait: PROPERTY IRREDUCIBLE (X Long Press: Consume your grenade to load a large projectile that generates an elemental explosion on impact).
  • Stock: Composite Stock (This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock).
    • Slightly increases stability.
    • Slightly increase handling speed.
  • Intrinsic Trait: PROPERTY UNDECIDABLE (This weapon adapts its damage type to match your equipped subclass. Final blows grand grenade energy).

If you don’t want to drop $99 to obtain the Fusion Rifle, there is no need to panic! If it’s anything like previous seasons, the new Tessellation Fusion Rifle will eventually be available at the Monument to Lost Lights kiosk. When Lightfall launched in 2023, the Quicksilver Storm Auto Rifle was also initially given out early as a preorder bonus with the Annual Pass edition. However, players are now able to purchase the Exotic at the Tower Kiosk with an Exotic Shower and 100,000 Glimmer.

Destiny 2 is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Final Shape releases in 2024.
