How do I unlock the Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

The Flippers are unlocked after completing the “Finding Flippers” quest in Hello Kitty Island Adventure. This is given to you by Keroppi in the Spooky Swamp after finding the three Yellow Power Crystals and opening up the Resort Gate in Chococat’s “Power Up the Gate” quest. You don’t need to hit any friendship level. You just need to meet him and deliver My Melody’s package to him.

Keroppi will gift you the Flippers Plans, which you’ll need to craft the Flippers at Chococat’s Crafting Table at his tent near the Resort Gate.

How do I craft the Flippers?

You need the following two materials to craft the Flippers in Hello Kitty Island Adventure:

  • Fins
  • Strap

Conveniently, Keroppi gives you the Fins when handing you the Flippers Plans, so you only need to hunt down the Strap. It’s found in a treasure chest on a small wooden dock in the Spooky Swamp, just northwest of where you first found Keroppi. You can see it below.

With the Strap and Fins in hand, take them to Chococat’s Crafting Table, where you’ll be able to turn them into Flippers. The Flippers unlock swimming permanently for your character, so there’s no need to avoid the water anymore.

Note that while you can swim, you won’t be able to dive underwater using the Flippers. Diving requires the Snorkel, which you unlock via a quest given to you by Kuromi in the Spooky Swamp. This will unlock the depths of the Rainbow Reef and allow you to finally speak to Hangyodon.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available now exclusively on Apple Arcade for iOS and Mac devices.
