How to Get the FFXIV Moonfire Faire Uchiwasshoi Emote

The Final Fantasy XIV annual summer event is back once again in 2024. With the arrival of the FFXIV Moonfire Faire 2024 event, players can now bask in the sun and unlock some sweet rewards like the Uchiwasshoi emote. This is a brand new free emote, but you’ll need to do a little work first to get it.

How to Unlock the Moonfire Faire Uchiwasshoi Emote in FFXIV

What is great about the Uchiwasshoi emote is you don’t have to do much at all to unlock it. Though there is the usual Moonfire Faire obstacle course, you don’t have to complete anything like that, do any FATEs, or anything this year. Just a few cutscenes and that’s it.

Your goal will be to complete the Moonfire Faire quest known as “Fire Red, Beast Green.” Once you complete this strangely named quest that will be eyebrow-raising to Pokemon fans, you will be able to unlock the Uchiwasshoi emote. If you skip the cutscenes, like I mostly did in all honesty, you can get this emote in less than five minutes.

Where to Start the Moonfire Faire Event

Of course to get the Uchiwasshoi emote in the first place during the FFXIV Moonfire Faire event 2024, you’ll want to know where to start the entire event. You can begin the event with the initial quest at the following location:

• Mayaru Moyaru NPC in Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks at X: 11.5, Y: 13.8

There, you will be able to find the location to begin the Fire Red, Beast Green quest. It will take you, as always for this summer event, to Costa del Sol for a handful of cutscenes and traveling. Completing this quest will earn you this fascinating free emote where you use a fan.

Final Fantasy XIV is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Moonfire Faire will run until August 26, 2024.
