Can Snorlax be Shiny in Pokemon Sleep?

The answer is a resounding yes! So how do we snag a Shiny Snorlax? Well, just like in the mainline games you’re gonna need to have patience and a lot of luck. Snorlax is the main Pokemon featured in Pokemon Sleep. Each week you’ll get a different Snorlax with different likes, dislikes and other preferences. Feeding it and improving it’s power will grant you rewards and bonuses for the week.

To get a Shiny Snorlax all you can do is wait out your odds. It’s not exactly known what those odds are, but there is a small chance of your weekly Snorlax being a Shiny variant. There’s currently no way to snag one other than waiting and hoping. Keep in mind, at the end of that week you’ll get a new Snorlax so try to enjoy your week with your Shiny.

Shiny Snorlax isn’t the only variant you’ll find in Pokemon Sleep! You can actually find a green colored Snorlax within the app. Once you complete 20 different Sleep Styles on Greengrass Isle, you can head over to Cyan Beach. While you’re here, Snorlax will appear green. Now, this isn’t a Shiny variant, instead it’s more of a regional coloring exclusive to the app (for now).

I find that the Shiny Snorlax is just too close to the regular Snorlax to be an exciting Shiny. In fact, without the Shiny animation I’m not sure I’d notice at first. The good news is, if you’re at Cyan Beach with a green Snorlax, it’s easier to spot when your Snorlax is Shiny.

Pokemon Sleep is currently available for Android and iOS devices.
