In the Elden Ring DLC Shadow of the Erdtree, you can boost the power of your Summoned Spirits and Spectral Steed with Revered Spirit Ash. This guide will explain how to get Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree and how to use it to get a Shadow Realm Blessing.
Where to Find Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
The first place you can find Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree is just northeast of the Gravesite Plain Site of Grace. So, as soon as you enter the Realm of Shadow from Mohgwyn Palace, travel to the east side of the map from the Site of Grace to find a statue of a headless man slumped over.
You will notice the headless statue has a glowing blue icon in its lap. Press “Y” (Xbox) or “Triangle” (PlayStation) to pick up the Revered Spirit Ash. Now that you have the new item, you will need to unlock the feature by traveling back to any Site of Grace.
How to Use Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree
To use Revered Spirit Ash in Elden Ring, you need to consume it at any Site of Grace. Once at a rest point, interact with the grace to access the new DLC feature. Below are the steps to use Revered Spirit Ash in Shadow of the Erdtree:
- Travel to a Site of Grace and interact with the rest point.
- Select “Shadow Realm Blessing,” which is listed underneath the “Flasks” option.
- Next, click “Revered Spirit Ash Blessing.”
- Confirm you want to consume your item.
Revered Spirit Ash Locations in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree (Early Game)
Revered Spirit Ash can be found throughout the Realm of Shadow in Elden Ring. They will always appear on the laps of statues. While not all of the statues are headless, they all look similar (a skeletal person slumped over).
Here are some early-game locations where you can find Revered Spirit Ash in Shadow of the Erdtree:
- East of Gravesite Plain Site of Grace (statue)
- North of Abandoned Ailing Village (statue)
- Stairs leading into the Belurat Tower Settlement (statue)
What does Revered Spirit Ash do in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
Although the game gives you a tutorial pop-up screen when picking up Revered Spirit Ash for the first time, it doesn’t exactly explain what it does. For instance, what does “negate” mean? In short, it strengthens your Spectral Steed mount and Summoned Spirits.
Below is a list of the benefits you get from a Revered Spirit Ash Blessing in Elden Ring:
- Spectral Steed:
- Your mount deals more damage against enemies.
- Your mount takes less damage when hit by enemies.
- Summoned Spirits:
- Your Summoned Spirits deal more damage to enemies.
- Your Summoned Spirits take less damage from enemies.
However, it should be pointed out that the Revered Spirit Ash Blessing only applies to your Spectral Steed and Summoned Spirits while you are in the Realm of Shadow. So the new stat buff only works while you are playing the Elden Ring DLC and is turned off when you return to the base game.
From my playthrough, you can find Revered Spirit Ash statues in almost every major location on the map. As soon as you arrive at a village or dungeon, look for one of the cryptic statues with a blue item marker on it.
Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdetree is now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
