How to get Rare Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2

You can get Rare Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2 through a variety of methods. However, the game has four core activities where you are guaranteed to get these items and in a healthy supply. The four methods to get Rare Tech Parts are:

  • City district completion rewards
  • Prowler Stashes
  • Hunter Blinds
  • Unidentified Targets

City district rewards are by far the easiest to complete. All you need to do is run around various sections of NYC and finish optional content, such as Photo Ops or finding Marko’s Memories. Doing this in each district will cause the section’s completion progress to go up. The first reward for each district is a bundle of Rare Tech Parts.

Prowler Stashes unlock fairly early in the main story and require you to complete and analyze puzzles for three Rare Tech Parts. On the other hand, Hunter Blinds are quick combat encounters against Kraven’s hunters for five parts. Finally, you can also do the Unidentified Targets content, where you chase after Kraven’s drones and get four parts per target you complete.

How to use Rare Tech Parts in Spider-Man 2

You use Rare Tech Parts to complete several progression mechanics in Spider-Man 2. For example, if you like your Spider-Man to look as cool as possible, you will need Rare Tech Parts to obtain particular suits in the game. This includes both unlocking the outfits and crafting extra color options for them.

In addition, some of the later gadget upgrades require the Rare Tech Parts over the normal ones. Both of these features are essential to making Peter Parker and Miles Morales your own, so you’ll want to look for Rare Tech Parts as soon as possible.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is now available exclusively for PS5.
