Moonstone Island contains several islands full of electricity and fire hazards. These hazards drain your stamina and make it harder to get back to a home base. Fortunately, it is possible to get protection but it does require some work.

How to Craft Protection from Fire and Electricity Hazards in Moonstone Island

To get the protection from electricity and fire hazards, you will need an Anvil. This is one of the crafting tables you can place in your home, built from the crafting menu.  You will need 3 Iron Ingots for this.

Once you have an Anvil, you can create protective charms. Each of these will require a metallic sheet and a Spirit Resource of the appropriate type you’re trying to protect against. You can craft charms to protect against four different elements: Poison, Electricity, Fire and Dark.

To construct the metal sheets, you use the Anvil itself. If you look in its crafting menu, the first items are Copper, Iron and Moonstone Sheets. To make these, you need to use a Furnace to craft 3 Copper, Iron or Moonstone Ingots, depending on which type of Sheet you would like. Moonstone is recommended, as any charm made with this Sheet will completely remove all hazardous effects, while the other metals will only partially remove them – 30% for Copper and 50% for Iron.

For the Spirit Resources, these can be obtained with Spirits from the appropriate islands. So if you need protection from electricity, you will need an electric Spirit, and so on. Unfortunately, this does mean you need to endure the hazards at least once to obtain the appropriate Spirit. There is no way to avoid this. Fortunately, you only need one Spirit Resource to construct a charm.

How to use protective charms in Moonstone Island

Using the charms for protection is easy. As long as the charm is in your inventory, it will nullify the hazards to the percentage you have crafted.

The charm doesn’t need to be in your quick select inventory for it to take effect. You just need to have it on you and you’ll be safe from any island full of electricity or fire. Of course, each charm will take up an inventory slot, so plan for this before you start flying around.

Moonstone Island is available now for PCs. A Switch version is in development.
