V Rising is a massive online survival game with the ability to build any castle or structure the player wants. However, you need the right materials to make furniture and other items. Two of the most important materials in V Rising are planks and sawdust.
How to Get Planks and Sawdust in V Rising
Planks and sawdust are two of the most important early materials you can get in this online vampire game. However, there is one main way to get them in this game. That is to craft them in the game by using a sawmill. The sawmill is one of the key structures players can build.
The other way to get these items is by looting them off of enemies. This mainly goes for planks, which players can sometimes find in the world. Here are the locations where you are able to get planks sometimes:
- Bandit Logging Camp
- Dunley Lumber Mill
- Sacred Silver Mine
- Brighthaven Docks
How to Get a Sawmill in V Rising
If you opt to craft some planks and sawdust in V Rising, you are going to need the sawmill. You can build a sawmill at your castle base with the following materials:
- 80 stone
- 400 wood
As always, you can gather stone from the rocks throughout the world and wood from the various trees. 400 is quite a lot, so be prepared to take down several trees. Once you have a sawmill, you can craft both planks and sawdust by inserting the following materials into the workstation:
- 20 wood: Generates one plank and sawdust
You can also get planks by inserting other logs into the sawmill, such as Hallow and Gloom Wood, but this will yield different secondary materials from sawdust.
V Rising is available right now in 1.0 on PC. It will also come out for PS5 sometime in 2024.
